During the uncertainty of a global pandemic, we have paused the availability of the Sweetlife Tipi while social distancing is the only tool open to us all to prevent contact with or spreading of Covid-19.

For now, reservations are blocked; as things unfold we will determine when or if there will be a safe time this season for both our guests and ourselves to resume stays in the tipi. We will update the calendar below as needed. Thank you for your understanding. We hope to see you soon!

You may purchase your stay directly from us or through Airbnb.com or Glamping Hub.com. When you purchase from us, we will contact you to arrange available dates and block out your reservation. We offer one or more night stays from Sunday-Thursday, stays that include a Friday or Saturday night require a two night minimum. The charge per night is $175 plus sales and lodging tax. Cancellation policy: full refund if canceled 7 days prior to reservation. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to your reserved date(s) and we are able to rebook the dates you canceled, we will refund the entire amount.

Purchases made from this website are not transferable to Airbnb or Glamping Hub, but the booking calendars are synced.

The tipi sleeps two people, and is a peaceful retreat, a romantic getaway, an adventuresome way to house extra guests, a special occasion gift for a friend or family member, and the perfect home base for a cycling weekend. We offer it as a unique glamping experience, as well as an opportunity to explore the features of a small homestead lifestyle chosen for its connection to community, place and the environment. The tipi is privately located, adjacent to the pond, snugged against the woods. We designed it to pay respectful homage to Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce tribe, who prospered in Idaho, Washington and Oregon long before Lewis and Clark made their famous trek west.

bath hutFall asleep to the soft sounds of nature in a queen size bed. Comfortable rocking chairs, reading lamps, an outlet for portable devices, books and mini fridge are part of the ambiance. Ready for stargazing and quiet reflection, a fire pit is steps away. The adjacent open-air bath hut is eco-friendly with a composting toilet and on-demand hot water, and stocked with luscious hand loomed organic Turkish cotton towels and Sweetlife soap. Start the morning with breakfast of hardboiled eggs laid by Sweetlife hens, house made granola and yogurt and Sweetlife jams accompanied by french press coffee from Seattle's Good Coffee Company, teas and fresh fruit juice.

tipi entryWildlife is abundant and it is not uncommon to see raccoons, coyote, deer, ducks and great blue herons, eagles, ravens, hawks and many other species of birds. We rarely see but often hear owls, and all these creatures and our rooster have been known to make noise at night. The Sweetlife Tipi is the perfect way to surround yourself with nature without sacrificing the comforts of home.

Sweetlife Farm's 10 acre slice of heaven abuts the Grand Forest, a woodland preserve with miles of hiking trails. The property is mostly natural woods surrounding a large sunny gardening area and outbuildings, including a chicken coop (with a rooster who crows), and is policed by two jack russell terriers. Our farm is in the middle of Bainbridge Island (which is ~11miles long and 4 miles wide), just 3.4 miles from a picturesque downtown with shops, a historical museum, regional art museum, fine dining and the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry terminal. Bainbridge is home to a local distillery, local brewery, and a number of local wineries. The Bloedel Reserve, Battlepoint Park, The Grand Forest, Fort Ward Park and Fay Bainbridge Park offer spectacular places to play, hike and enjoy the natural beauty of Bainbridge Island. Cyclists of moderate ability ( lots of hills…) flock to Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County for an ideal, picturesque place to ride.
