Chef Heather Andrus of Intentional Table made these recently for the Bike for Pie event here on the island. She made an extra one, just for us!
Unbaked pie shell
7 oz brown sugar
1 oz melted butter
1 1/3 cup corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
4 oz melted semi-sweet chocolate
Sprinkle the nuts on the bottom of the pie shell. Mix the res of the ingredients together and pour over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees until the pie is puffy and springy to the touch.
