Lotions and liquid skincare products consist of as much as 85% aqueous solutions such as water, milks or other liquids; therefore they require preservatives in order to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria. Often the preservatives in these products are the culprits that lead to rash, redness and irritation. For this reason, we make salves, balms, creams and lotion bars that are anhydrous, meaning "without water."

You will find you need much less of our product to do the same job as water based creams and lotions, since what you are getting is the "good stuff" in concentrated form, without the added water. Translated, this means that you will notice that a tiny amount does the same job as water-based creams and lotions.
