Creme de Shea is the only moisturizer I have used on my face for more than 15 years. Shea butter is reported to retain skin elasticity and provide natural protection against damaging sun rays while repairing cellular degeneration from such things as wrinkles, dermatitis, burns and even stretch marks. Shea butter is also packed with antioxidants like vitamin E, as well as polyphenols and phytonutrients. These ingredients make shea butter an anti-inflammatory, which is why it works so well at moisturizing and soothing all types of skin.
Effective for aging, sensitive or very dry skin, Creme de Shea is also a perfect eye cream and a decadent hand or foot cream. It may be also be used as a hair conditioner--apply to wet hair in the same manner as to skin.
I make Creme de Shea with unrefined fair trade shea butter, which has been used by African healers for centuries as the ideal treatment for dry or aging skin. This superior skin loving ingredient is further enhanced with nourishing sweet almond and apricot oils, to make it creamy and more spreadable, and it is finished with a pleasant osmanthus scent. Spread a tiny bit onto fingertips to melt and then apply. Creme de Shea is easily absorbed, and a tiny bit goes a long way! Some say that because the moisturizers present in shea butter are some of the same moisturizers that the sebaceous glands produce it could clog pores if used on the face. I have never experienced this, and assume that it is because I spread a very thin layer onto my face, which is quickly absorbed.
Sometimes there is a slight graininess to products made with shea, especially if shea butter is allowed to sit in a hot environment and melts; this is harmless and the tiny grains will melt at normal skin temperature. To minimize graininess, store in a cool location.
This product contains no fillers, preservatives or synthetic products. Unlike most lotions and face creams, which are made with aqueous ingredients requiring a preservative, much less product delivers the same effective protection. This 2 oz jar will last much longer than traditional face creams and lotions.
Please note: Creme de Shea melts at temperatures higher than 90 degrees. Melting won't harm the product, but heat can cause small crystals to form that make it feel a bit grainy. These will melt when rubbed onto the skin. We recommend storing in a cool location to prevent it from melting, and storing it right side up so it doesn't leak in the event that it does melt.
Because of the heat during summer months we ship with ice packs which adds to the shipping weight. We will confirm via email the extra shipping cost, and cannot guarantee that it won't melt during transit through very warm conditions.
Shea butter is derived from shea nuts. We urge caution for anyone allergic to nuts.

I have been using Sweetlife shea butter for years, and nothing works as well for my dry skin - and I have tried everything. Plus, I am convinced it keeps my face younger looking! It blends right in but is never greasy. Leaving your skin feeling fresh and dewey.

I love this creme de shea - and I have tried numerous ones over the years. I can't live without it, and order several at a time - I use it as a night cream, a day cream before I put on makeup, and skin cream for my body. With this cream, you don't need anything else - and best yet, it's inexpensive, a little goes a long way, and it's free of dyes, chemicals, and other nasty stuff. I love it!!!
