Bob and Nancy Fall 2019Sweetlife Farm took root as a cottage business in 1999 after we first retired from health care jobs and later as booksellers.

The passion for growing, cooking and making things from "scratch," using ingredients we  trust, and sharing our values around living the sweet life led to what became the business we call Sweetlife Farm.

The name reflects our contentment with and commitment to this small slice of paradise. Over the twenty + years since completing our home (a multi-year project that we designed and then finished ourselves after our contractor got us to the "closed in" stage), we have added a commercial kitchen, a log gazebo which houses a wood-fired oven, a greenhouse, chicken coop, smokehouse, a guest house for Nancy's parents, and most recently a tipi! The gardens continue to evolve, as we seek to balance our ambitious passions with work, play and advancing age....

We are two perfectionists doing pretty much everything ourselves, lucky to have encouragement and volunteer help from many friends and an enthusiastically supportive community.

We enjoy being able to grow as much as possible on our little gentleman's farm, with enough to make products to offer to others. Ingredients not grown here are sourced from vendors whose business practices reflect fair trade practices and attention to sustainable growing and collection of ingredients.  Our commercial kitchen and studio are used to make natural soaps and skincare, jams, condiments and lots of other things we enjoy dreaming up. The addition of the tipi provides an interesting opportunity to meet folks who share similar interests and this place we call home. It's a sweet life.
